Tammie received a Bachelor of Architecture from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo and has over 20 years of experience as a licensed architect in Washington. Her architecture career focused on planning and design of affordable and public housing for communities all over the country. After retiring in 2010 she received a Certificate of Nonprofit Management from the University of Washington and has been the Executive Director of numerous nonprofit organizations ever since. Tammie brings this unique experience to her role at AIA, providing leadership and management of the chapter and using her experience to advocate on behalf of architects statewide.

Sr. Manager of Advocacy and Policy

Samantha Morrow is a public policy professional with substantial experience in policy development and policy coordination for elected officials.  She holds a Masters of Public Affairs from the University of Missouri, where she graduated with honors, along with a Bachelors in Political Science from Washington State University. Samantha has an extensive background and passion for advocating and expanding equitable health care policy solutions at the Washington State Legislature, where she has worked for the last two years as a Legislative Aide to the Chair of the House Health Care & Wellness Committee. She is excited to leverage these skills and knowledge toward advancing sustainable policy priorities for the built environment.
