10:45 – 11:30 The five elements of an effective advocacy campaign presented by Cindy Schwartz, AIA Senior Director of Advocacy & ARCHIPAC chair

11:30 – Noon Lunch

Noon – 2:00 A panel of experts will the importance of advocacy for the profession.

The panel will include a lobbyist, legislator, and coalition ally; moderated by Cindy Schwartz.

2:00-2:15 Break

2:15 – 4:00 How to communicate with legislators (and normal people who don’t know “architectese”)

4:00 – 5:00 Group breakout to address advocacy problem presented by Cindy Schwartz

5:00 – 5:30 Report-out by breakout groups
