SMR ARCHITECTS – AIAWA DIVERSE STUDENT SCHOLARSHIP

Encouraging and elevating diverse ideas and cultures in architecture is a valuable asset to the profession.  The SMR Architects-AIA Washington Council Diversity Scholarship offers students with a passion for architecture an opportunity to begin or continue their pursuit of an architectural degree.

MEET OUR AXP ADVISORS

The NCARB Architectural Experience Program (AXP) is a mandatory requirement in our state for the Architect Registration Exam (ARE). AXP was formerly known as IDP.

Washington has two AXP coordinators who you can contact if you have questions about the program. Tyler Gates Assoc. AIA and Neha Goel, AIA are appointed by the AIA and are a resource for the profession for Eastern and Western Washington, respectively.

ADVOCACY IN ACTION

AIA Washington Council’s Advocacy in Action series aims to turn you into an architect advocate on these or any issue that is important to you. It is designed for emerging professionals and students (you do not have to be a current AIA member) – but everyone is welcome. In this 2-part webinar, you will discover how AIA works to protect the profession and address our core values, as well as how you can play an important role.
