The School Facilities Technical Advisory Committee (TAC) provides expert guidance to the Office of the Superintendent of Public Instruction (OSPI) on technical matters related to school facilities. Established in July 2006 following a comprehensive two-year reconstitution of the School Facilities Advisory Board, the TAC comprises members appointed by OSPI to ensure informed decision-making on educational facility issues.
We are seeking qualified candidates to fill a current vacancy on the committee to represent the western half of the state. Members of AIA Seattle, AIA SW Washington and AIA NW Washington are eligible for this opportunity. This appointment requires a minimum two-year commitment, but appointees are not limited to two years of service. The AIA Washington Council nominating committee will evaluate applications and forward a recommended candidate to OSPI for appointment.

1. Professional Qualifications Candidates must be licensed architects in the state of Washington. Provide your Washington State architect license number.
2. K-12 Project Experience Describe your K-12 school design and construction experience in Washington State, including specific projects and your role in each, and how your position keeps you current with trends and regulations in school design.
3. Leadership and Collaboration Detail your involvement in professional organizations and volunteer leadership roles, including within AIA, and how these experiences have prepared you for advisory work.
